North Carolina Woman Loses Arm To Shark While On Vacation
A North Carolina woman was vacationing in the Bahamas when she was attacked by a shark and lost her arm during the attack.
Tiffany and her husband James were snorkeling on their last stop of their cruise, as reported by WSOC. All of a sudden, Tiffany was face to face with a shark.
“I wasn’t in pain, it just felt like I had bumped into something so I just casually turned to my right to look to see and that’s when I was face to face with the shark,” Tiffany said. “He had my whole arm in his mouth and he was just floating there, just staring at me.”
It took her a couple of tries, but eventually she was able to get away from the shark.
“I kept trying to yank my hand back and the last time I yanked he had cut it clean off so I was able to actually get free,” Tiffany said

Her husband rushed to her when he heard the scream, and thankfully, doctors in the Bahamas were able to stop the bleeding. A medical evacuation company helped get her to Carolinas Medical Center.
Tiffany is set to have surgery later this week to prepare her for a prosthetic arm.
