Sisqo Updates “The Thong Song” For 2017
“See ya shakin that thang like who’s da ish, with a look in ya eye so devilish.”
With the help of JCY, there’s a revamp to Sisqo‘s classic hit that made him famous.
Not much is different except the musical part, which is in the hands of JCY, but the music video, of course, features beautiful women in thongs. What it doesn’t feature is the intense dance sequences that Sisqo was memorialized for.
According to Independent, Sisqo had injured himself a few weeks before the video shoot and had to learn new / modified choreography. They quote him saying “The epitome of insult to injury was the couple of hours we had to learn brand new choreography for the video right before recording it where in most cases you get a week to learn a new routine.”
Either way, it’s time for a new generation to appreciate “The Thong Song,” while us “old timers” of the Millenial Generation talk about how the original is SO MUCH BETTER.
