This year’s recipient of the MTV Video Vanguard Award was P!NK, but we want to take a moment to recognize the originator of the term, Michael Jackson.
Today, MJ would have been 57 years old – which seems crazy that he and Prince were both born the same year.
And while many other performers scored the Video Vanguard Award, (including David Bowie, The Beatles, Madonna, George Michael, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Kanye West, and more), nobody did videos like Michael Jackson did videos.
