Jay-Z’s Remedy For Marital Upset: Makes Music With Beyonce
They do say that music will soothe “the savage beast.”
According to Jay-Z‘s most recent interview in T Magazine (New York Times), he opens up about his infidelity, and how the healing went with his marriage. “We were using our art almost like a therapy session… And we started making music together.”
The interview notes that the project between himself and wife Beyonce wasn’t as far along as Lemonade was, which is why it hasn’t been released, but we’re sure that if they don’t hand it over to the rabid Beyhive, there will be h-e-double hockey sticks to pay.
Being present during each’s recording sessions for their solo projects, as well as together, HOV said that they were pushing through the awkwardness “And both very, very uncomfortable, but… the best place in the, you know, hurricane is like in the middle of it…We were sitting in the eye of that hurricane… But the best place is right in the middle of the pain.”
It seems to have worked for them to go through all of this together, and the fact that both came out with stellar projects, I believe that’s the most successful thing you can gain.
