What We All Expected….Or Is It?
The 2018 NBA Finals are officially set.
While the Conference Finals were all too exciting between the C’s & Cavs and the Dubs & Rockets, we’re finally here, the NBA Finals matchup is set.
Feels familiar, doesn’t it?
For the fourth time in a row, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors will duke it out for Larry O’Brien Trophy. The question is, will we get what we got in 2016 or 2017?
LeBron James is playing like we’ve never seen before. Getting this Cavalier team to the Finals may be his greatest accomplishment yet. Stuffing the Celtics in game seven at the TD Garden without Kevin Love when the Celtics were undefeated at home throughout the playoffs is something mythical. People downplay it because it’s LeBron being LeBron, but the man is doing things that he shouldn’t be able to. No disrespect to the Celtics, a team that was one game away from the Finals without arguably their two best players, salute to them and their young coach Brad Stevens, but LeBron James is not human.
And then there’s the Warriors.
Four straight Finals appearances and this has been by far the toughest road to get here since their win in 2015. They have already opened as the clear favorites to win game one and win the series, but not so fast. The Warriors looked like a completely different team against the Rockets, and have glaring holes on both offense and defense that will be exploited by LeBron James and company come Thursday night.
Now I personally don’t think that LeBron will be able to pull off this feat, I say the Warriors win in five games, they have too much firepower and LeBron just doesn’t have enough help to slow them down. With that said, I think Bron will lay it all out and you never know what that will result in.
I’m hella hyped for this year’s Finals, literally just to see what Bron can pull off with his back against the wall….again.
Who you got in the Finals???
