Louis Vuitton Blatantly Copies Two Other Sneaker Brands
Virgil Abloh’s new Louis Vuitton sneaker looks awfully similar to a sneaker of the past.
The creator of popular fashion line Off-White, Virgil Abloh, is now the new Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton’s men’s line. He recently held a fashion show in Paris, France and unveiled some of his newest creations.
One of the most talked about items was a new high-top sneaker.
Now some of you may look at this and just see another overpriced sneaker, but to some of you, a few things stand out.
First off, the hangtag is an exact copy of Jordan Brand’s popular orange hangtag that they’ve used for years.
Second, the shoe’s construction is uncanny to this old Avia 880 high-top sneaker from 1989.
Nowadays, fashion is nothing but redesigning and making your own, but I couldn’t help but point this out.
What do you think about the resemblance?
