Beyonce And Jay-Z Have Their Sights On The Colosseum
And no, that doesn’t mean any strip clubs with that name – we’re talking the real thing.
Beyonce and Jay-Z have been trying to get their hands on it in the sense of renting it.
NME shares “Bey filed a request with the local government to rent out the Italian landmark on July 7 and 8, which would have overlapped with the Rome stop of their ‘On The Run II’ tour, according to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero.”
Maybe they were looking to do a special performance there, or to film a video for one of the songs off their new album ‘Everything Is Love’ but apparently the request was denied. According to NME’s report, Italian Scientist Alberto Angela had already reserved the space, and space was requested at short notice. One would think that would leave little time to prepare the venue for whatever they wanted to do.
Either way, maybe they’ll be able to work it out with the Italian Government ahead of time for something else.
