See Exactly How Much Your Favorite Hip-Hop Artists Are Making
It’s no secret that the hip-hop industry helps people become millionaires, but just how much are these talented artists actually making.
Forbes puts out lists of all sorts every year marking the highest paid entertainers/celebrities and usually it boasts multiple rappers on it like Jay-Z, Diddy & Dr. Dre, but this year Forbes decided to create a new list that focuses on the highest earning hip-hop acts in the past year.
There wasn’t too much change with the first two, being Jay-Z and Diddy of course, with Jay coming in at $76.5 million and Diddy at $64 million, but after that things get a bit surprising, well at least for me.
Kendrick Lamar comes in at third with $58 million, followed by Drake with $47 million and then J. Cole with $35.5 million. Both Dr. Dre and Nas sit in sixth with $35 million.

I think the biggest surprised here are Pitbull coming in ninth with $32 million, yes Pitbull. Future, Ye, Dj Khaled, Migos Eminem, Chance the Rapper Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Logic, Meek & Russ round out the list.
You can see all of the exact figures here.
I find it strange that neither Cardi-B or Nicki Minaj made the list, but I have a feeling that may change next year but we’ll see.
A few predictions I have for next years list would have to be Drake jumping Kendrick for that third spot and maybe even J. Cole jumping Kendrick as well, they both have been on fire as of late. I think we may see a dip from Dr. Dre and Nas, also depending on what Eminem does with his latest #1 album, Kamikaze, I think he could jump several spots in time for next years list.
