A Mandatory Evacuation Has Been Issued For Parts Of Harnett County
A mandatory evacuation is in effect for parts of Harnett County.
According to the Fayetteville Observer, anyone who lives near the Lower Little River in close proximity to the Cumberland County line needs to evacuate.
The river is expected to rise an upwards of 17 feet above flood levels by Monday morning.
That’s six feet higher than when the effects of Hurricane Matthew were felt across the area.
At this time, the river is expected to reach flood levels in the early hours of the morning on Sunday.
Emergency officials will be going to each home to let folks know they need to vacate.
