Fans Think Selena Gomez Is Hiding Something From Us

A couple of weeks ago, fans learned that Selena Gomez was taking a break from social media.

While the pop star has been open in the past about her internal battle with social media, so far, she hasn't returned.

And, we still don't really know why, apart from the normal reasons.

But, fans think they might have the answer.

Perhaps, Selena is remaining quiet to make a big splash tonight at the American Music Awards.

It sounds far fetched at first, but if Selana isn't there tonight, it will be the first AMAs sans Gomez in four years.

While Gomez doesn't have a reserved seat at the AMAs, there's an unassigned seat right next to Taylor Swift -- Who happens to be her BFF.

While it's possible Swift could be bringing her man to the awards show, don't discount their friendship -- As it's quite possible Gomez could be Taylor's "date" to the show this evening.

If that's true, it's plausible that Gomez is being secretive because she will be a surprise performer tonight.

This could go either way, but let's keep our fingers crossed this theory is true!
