Was This A Smart Decision For Floyd Mayweather?
Floyd Mayweather has officially backed out of his fight with Tenshin Nasukawa.
Not long after announcing the NYE fight against Japanese kickboxer in Tokyo, Floyd is calling the fight off.
Floyd made the announcement with a long caption via his Instagram.

Originally, Floyd said that the only things that were still in discussion was weight class and just what type of fight it would be, boxing or MMA, but after reading Floyd’s latest IG post, apparently there was much more to it.
What floored me the most, is that Floyd said, “Ultimately, I was asked to participate in a 9 minute exhibition of 3 rounds with an opponent selected by the ‘Rizen Fighting Federation.’ What I was originally informed of by Brent Johnson of “One Entertainment” was that this was to be an exhibition put on for a small group of wealthy spectators for a very large fee.”
In my opinion, and I could be completely wrong, if you thought that the bout would be somewhat private and only put on for what I assume to be insanely wealthy spectators, announcing it to your 22+ million followers on Instagram would not be the route you would take.
Anyway, I personally wanted to see Floyd fight Canelo or Manny again so the fact that this isn’t happening anymore give me hope for one of those rematches.
