Zhane’s Debut Album Gets Re-Released On Its 25th Anniversary
R&B duo Zhane’s debut album, Pronounced Jah-Nay will be reissued for its 25th anniversary.
The album will be available on standard and limited edition orange 2LP vinyl.
The LP features the Philadelphia group’s hits like “Hey, Mr. D.J.,” “Sending My Love,” and “Groove Thang,” as well as the Kay Gee remix of “Groove Thing,” which will be the first time in the United States.
DJ Jazzy Jeff signed singers Renee Neufville and Jean Norris as the first artists to his A Touch of Jazz production company.
Jeff met the duo while in school at Philly’s Temple University and the pair eventually connected with Benny Medina, who convinced them to form a songwriting team.
The limited edition commemorative album is being re-released by Urban Legends, which is a multi-platform Univeral Music Group label imprint and online platform that celebrates the artists and music at the heart and soul of hip-hop.
