Larry King Hospitalized After Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest
Larry King reportedly went into cardiac arrest and suffered a heart attack late last week.
Per TMZ, King’s heart episode happened on Thursday (April 25). Sources told the outlet that King was experiencing breathing issues for months and was scheduled to enter a local hospital that day for an angiogram.
After going into cardiac arrest, King was transferred to the hospital via ambulance. Upon arriving at the hospital, doctors performed an angioplasty and inserted a number of stents into a collapsed artery. He’s been in the cardiac intensive care unit since but is expected to be released from the hospital today (April 29.)
According to People, King has had a number of health issues over the years. He suffered a heart attack back in 1987, and in 1999, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. In 2017, he was diagnosed with stage one lung cancer.
