‘It: Chapter 2’ Gets Clown-Only Screenings To Fuel All Your Nightmares
Send in the clowns. A movie theater is offering “clowns only” screenings of It: Chapter 2. Let’s just hope the real Pennywise doesn’t show up with his red balloon.
Alamo Drafthouse announced that it will repeat its special clown-exclusive screenings for the second part of this Stephen King series, following the success of the It: Chapter One screenings. “Are they back for the concluding chapter of Stephen King’s magnum opus? Oh yes,” Alamo wrote on their website.
The screenings will take place across in 17 Alamo Drafthouse locations including Austin, TX; Denver, CO; and Los Angeles.
Tickets are on sale now for Alamo’s “annual dose of coulrophobia immersion therapy.” But those that attend must “come dressed as a clown — the wig, the makeup, the oversized pants and suspenders, the blood-curdling makeup.” How nightmare fuelling.
For those members of the Losers Club who prefer to see It: Chapter 2 without all the red noses, the movie hits theaters Sept. 6.
