Jeffrey Epstein Commits Suicide In New York City Jail
Jeffrey Epstein, the financier indicted on sex trafficking charges last month, committed suicide at a Manhattan jail, the New York Times reported this morning (August 10).
Epstein apparently hung himself and his body was found this morning at roughly 7:30.
Manhattan federal prosecutors last month charged Epstein, 66, with sex trafficking of girls as young as 14, and details of his behavior have been emerging for years. He was previously put on suicide watch after he was found semi-conscious on July 23 with marks on his neck on the floor of his jail cell.
