Legendary Journalist Cokie Roberts Passes Away
Journalist and political commentator Cokie Roberts has died. Roberts, who passed away at 75, is known for being a CBS foreign correspondent and congressional correspondent, and for being a political commentator, chief congressional analyst, and co-anchor for This Week on ABC. She was also an author.
As ABC News explains, Roberts is highly decorated, and she was given several awards during her career. She won three Emmys, was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame, and was named “Living Legend” by the Library of Congress in 2008. It was also determined that she was one of the 50 greatest women in the history of broadcasting by the American Women in Radio and Television.
Roberts died from complications from breast cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Roberts, Lee and Rebecca, her children, and six grandchildren.
