Another Man Admits to Killing Teresa Halbach From ‘Making a Murderer’
In the famous Netflix documentary Making a Murderer, Steven Avery was convicted of killing photographer Teresa Halbach in 2005. He has been in jail since March of 2007. But now another man has come forward and admitted to killing her.
Per Barstool Sports, the director of Convicting a Murderer, which will be an unaffiliated follow-up to the original documentary, has said that an inmate (already in jail for separate incidents) has confessed to the killing. His confession is on a taped interview. The inmate will remain unnamed until law enforcement has had access to the revelation.
About this new confession, the director of Convicting a Murderer explains to Newsweek that this information was given to them while filming. He states, “We haven’t confirmed the legitimacy of the confession, but seeing as it was given by a notable convicted murderer from Winsconsin, we feel responsible to deliver any and all possible evidence to law enforcement and legal teams.”
Director Shawn Rech adds, “Having been in production for 20 months, we’ve uncovered an unfathomable amount of information and evidence that is leading us to the truth. Our investigation does not end here.”
Convicting a Murderer will be released in 2020.
