Jennifer Lopez And Shakira Discuss Super Bowl Halftime Show: ‘Its Packed’
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira have shared a bit of what we can expect at the upcoming halftime show for the Super Bowl. In a recent press conference, the pair opened up about working together. Per Variety, Lopez explained, “The creative process is really intense when it comes to a show of this magnitude. But we worked together to make this the best show possible. I also think that sports and music are the two things that can join people together in any part of the world, and we have that opportunity this Sunday, and we are going to do our best.”
According to CNN, Shakira explained that they have carved out time during the performance to honor Kobe. “We’ll all be remembering Kobe on Sunday and celebrating life and diversity in this country. I’m sure he’d be very proud to see the message we are trying to convey on stage that day.”
Although the women didn’t give too much away, Lopez says that the performance will be “packed.” Shakira added, “It’s very Shakira and very Jennifer.” She also said, “Two Latinas doing this in this country at this time is very empowering for us.”
The Super Bowl will take place this Sunday (February 2) on CBS.
