Tory Lanez recently announced his next project. “It’s official. New Toronto 3 comes out March!” Lanez tweeted on Monday evening (Feb. 24). “And as soon as you hear it…I have officially finished my deal with Interscope…It’s been real.”

Lanez also went into detail about his split with Interscope. “And it’s no bad blood with the label @Interscope…I had a 5 album deal…I gave them 12 projects/albums if you include all the mixtapes with original music,” Lanez shared. “I can officially go on record and say I exceeded that 5 album mark…and I’m still just getting my feet in the water.”

During Lanez’s “Chixtape Live” tour, he also made the same announcement, as Rap-Up reports. “And after that, no label,” Lanez said during the Los Angeles stop on Feb. 20. Back in December, the singer-rapper also shared his frustrations with Interscope on Instagram. However, he eventually deleted the post. “Interscope Records… If yall [expletive] don’t stop playing w/ me… Ima expose what’s really going on in that [expletive] building!!!!!” Lanez wrote. “Y’all play w me if u want to …. Let’s play… y’all got the right [expletive] one.”
The New Toronto 3 will mark the Canadian artist’s third installment in his popular mixtape series. Lanez started it in 2015. In 2017, he dropped the New Toronto 2 and followed it up with Chixtape 5, which featured Ashanti, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown in November.
