The Weeknd Releases ‘After Hours’ Short Film
In anticipation of his new album coming out, The Weeknd has released a short film, After Hours. The clip picks up after his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, (and to recap, his Jimmy Kimmel performance had a similar aesthetic to his two videos, “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless”).
In the short film, it shows him leaving the stage with a smile, but after a few seconds, his smile turns sad. The cameras follow him as he begins crying and growing increasingly agitated in a subway station. Afterward, he puts glasses on, which leads to a psychedelic turn of events ending in an elevator with two other characters.
The After Hours album will be released on March 20, and tour dates kick off in Vancouver, Canada, in June. Watch The Weeknd’s After Hours film below.
