Stella, The French Bulldog From ‘Modern Family,’ Passes Away
Just weeks after the Modern Family series wrapped production, one of their stars has passed away. Beatrice, the dog that plays Ed O’Neill’s baby Stella, has died.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson tweeted about Beatrice’s passing, saying, “Rest In Peace sweet Beatrice. We love you so much,” with a crying face emoji.

According to TMZ, Beatrice worked on Modern Family for eight seasons, and Ed O’ Neill was very fond of her. “Beatrice’s owners had said during a 2017 interview that Ed was obsessed with Beatrice in real-life … often bringing her treats when she was on set and always looking out for her.”
Beatrice also appeared in “Workaholics” and “The Kominsky Method,” and did commercials for Dunkin’ Donuts and Chase Bank. Her cause of death is unknown. Modern Family‘s final episode with air next month.
