‘Band-Aid’ Is Adding A Line Of Band-Aids That Match More Skin Tones
Band-aid is working towards making their products more diverse. The brand has just revealed that they will have adhesive bandages with more skin tones.
They announced the changes on Instagram and explained that they are dedicated to inclusivity. “We hear you. We see you. We’re listening to you,” the company wrote. “We stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues, collaborators and community in the fight against racism, violence and injustice. We are committed to taking actions to create tangible change for the Black community.”
They added, “We are committed to launching a range of bandages in light, medium and deep shades of Brown and Black skin tones that embrace the beauty of diverse skin.”
Band-Aid also explains that they are donating to the Black Lives Matter movement. “We promise that this is just the first among many steps together in the fight against systemic racism,” they said. “We can, we must and we will do better.”
