With no drive-in movie theater in Fayetteville, Omni Cinemas 8 is taking advantage of its large parking lot to open the “Omni Drive-In Outdoor Cinema” starting June 26.

The first showings will be classic hits “The Wizard of Oz” at 8:30 p.m., and “Purple Rain” at 10:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Omni Cinemas 8 at 3729 Sycamore Dairy Rd. in Fayetteville.

A Facebook post by Adam Jay announced the opportunity for more than 200 cars to see films on a 40-foot digital outdoor screen.
