Mary J. Blige Unveils New Sun Goddess Limited Edition Wine
Mary J. Blige has partnered with Fantinel Winery for a limited-edition collaboration that will feature a Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc called Sun Goddess.
The collection is in honor of memories that Blige shared with her mother as well as the singer and actresses’ connection to the sun, as Travel Noire reports. Blige said, “The name ‘Sun Goddess’ evokes powerful childhood memories that I carry with me today. I’ve always loved the sun, and as a child I always tried to capture the sun’s warmth and energy. It was magical to me, and it’s with that spirit, that my mom began calling me ‘Sun Goddess.'”
“I’ve been creating this for three years now,” Blige said. “I hope this brings you some joy during these trying times. I hope you love it and it makes you smile.”
Per the press release, the Rosé has “notes of peach, melon, and blackberry” while the Sauvignon Blanc is “smooth and strongly aromatic.”
“After walking through the vineyards and tasting with the Fantinel family, I felt extremely connected to the place, and more importantly, the people,” Blige said in a press release.
Mary J. Blige’s Sun Goddess wines are both available for pre-order on wine.com . They’re both priced at $19.99, and they can also be found in New York , New Jersey, and Europe.
Both the Rose and Sauvignon Blanc will be available in the United States soon. MJB isn’t the only artist to have a wine collaboration. Snoop Dogg, E-40, and Tiny Harris also have their own wines.
