Popular Game Streamer Ninja Streams On YouTube After The Fall of Mixer
In June, Microsoft announced that their streaming platform, Mixer, would be shut down, and it would be merging with Facebook Gaming. Now, we’ve learned that Tyler “Ninja” Blevins will not be moving back to Twitch, or to a rumored platform called “Brime.” Instead, Ninja is moving to YouTube.
CATCH THIS STORY AND MORE ON THE BREAKDOWN:
Ninja spoils the fact that he may apparently be going to YouTube after the fall of Mixer, Modern Warfare & Warzone ban wave apparently banning innocent players and what you can do about it, and Donkey Kong Country plus two other classics coming to switch this month in new NES/SNES update!
Now, it looks like we finally know what will happen, as Ninja was caught by eagle-eyed fans showing a now-deleted test stream on his channel. The stream went live for just a short time before it was quickly removed, but that didn’t stop the screenshot from echoing across the internet in a short period of time.
Then to back that up, Ninja’s wife and manager, who was involved in the fracas last week with xQc and Alinity, tweeted:
“You’ve all been patient…this week will be fun”
Ninja Premieres On YouTube Gaming Today
That tweet came just a few hours after the deleted test stream hit the press, so the cat was out of the bag. And now, there is an official ‘Premiere’ image on his YouTube page, set for 1 p.m. EST.
It’s not clear if Ninja is in negotiations with YouTube for exclusivity, but with his history leaving Twitch, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him make it his new home.
What is this going to mean for YouTube as a gaming platform? Ninja already has over 21 million subscribers on the platform, so that’s a nice little head start to rebuilding a following for one of, if not the, most well-known streamers in general.
