Megan Thee Stallion Says She ‘Wasn’t Protecting Anybody’ In Her Shooting Incident
Megan Thee Stallion recently took to social media to speak out about her recent shooting incident involving Tory Lanez. According to XXL, the Houston rapper went on Instagram Live on Monday (July 27), and talked about her decision to not share explicit details about what transpired.
“I wasn’t protecting anybody, I just wasn’t ready to speak,” Megan said. “That’s not no s— you just immediately get on the internet and start talking about and that’s a lot of y’all muthaf—in’ problem. Y’all take y’all whole life to Instagram and Twitter and make it a f—in’ diary and that’s not me. So, f— y’all and them fake a– blogs and y’all fake a– sources and my fake a– friends.”
Later during Megan’s Instagram Live session, she got emotional while talking about the loss of her parents and cultivating friendships to fill the void of her parents’ absence. “Imagine being 25 and you don’t have both of your parents,” Meg continued. “My mama was my best friend and I’m still really not over that. So, you kinda try to fill your space with a bunch of people that you think making you happy. Like, it’s a lot.”
Megan also said that she’s healthy and that’s she’s thankful that the bullets that hit her and injured her foot didn’t hit any bones or tendons. Check out the Instagram Live session below. Megan references the shooting incident at the 3:15 mark.
