Lil Wayne Releases ‘No Ceilings’ Mixtape To Streaming Platforms
Eleven years after releasing No Ceilings, Lil Wayne has surprised his fans by making his fan-favorite mixtape available on major streaming platforms for the first time.
No Ceilings was originally released on October 21, 2009, and featured 21 tracks. However, the new version of the mixtape only features 12 tracks, including remixes to Fabolous’ “Throw It in the Bag” (“Throw It In”), Mario’s “Break Up” (“Broke Up”), and Gucci Mane’s “Wasted” (“YM Wasted”).
It also features appearances from Drake (“I’m Single”) and Tyga. The album project concludes with a re-recorded version of Tunechi’s tribute to the Black Mamba, “Kobe Bryant,” which the rap veteran debuted during the 2020 BET Awards.
Weezy is currently readying No Ceilings 3, the third installment in the series. On Thursday (Aug. 27), A$AP Ferg dropped his new single aptly-titled “No Ceilings” featuring Lil Wayne. Back in July, Wayne dropped his Free Weezy Album onto streaming services in honor of the project’s fifth anniversary.
