Report: Cardi B Amends Divorce Documents
As we previously reported, Cardi B recently filed for divorce from Offset, per a report from gossip site TMZ. The Bronx rapper filed court documents in Georgia indicating she’s seeking a dissolution of marriage.
According to the filing, the “WAP” rapper is listed as the plaintiff while Offset is listed as the defendant. The paperwork was filed on Tuesday (Sept. 15). According to the report, Cardi B is seeking primary physical custody as well as legal custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture. She also wants Offset to pay child support.
According to TMZ, Cardi B now wants to “be friendly,” and wasn’t privy that her attorney filed documents that made her filing sound contentious. According to sources close to the “Money” rapper, Cardi wants Offset to have joint custody of Kulture and has asserted that she wants to have an amicable co-parenting relationship with the Migos member.
Cardi has communicated with her lawyer and the court documents will be amended to reflect the Grammy Award-winning artist’s wishes. Cardi’s divorce petition stated that Cardi wants child support. However, according to TMZ, that’s not true. Cardi doesn’t want any financial support from Offset. The rapper has yet to respond to Cardi’s petition.
