Tory Lanez Is Using Megan Thee Stallion Shooting To Promote New Album
It appears as though Tory Lanez is using the very public and controversial shooting incident with him and Megan Thee Stallion to bring attention to his new album.
The rapper went on social media last night to make it look like he was finally breaking his silence, and he took the time to plug new music. He wrote, “To my fans … I’m sorry for my silence …. but respectfully .. I got time today …… 9 PM PST .”
To my fans ... I’m sorry for my silence .... but respectfully .. I got time today ...... 9 PM PST .

He later added, “There is a time to stay silent . And a time to speak ….. I said all I could say on this … ALL PLATFORMS … ….. #DAYSTAR… I’ll be back to y’all soon …. respectfully ….”

That’s all Lanez said on social media, but he does address the incident on a few songs. Per Vanity Fair, on “Money Over Fallouts,” he says “How the f— you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons? / How the f— your team is trying to pay me in some whole millions? / I just lost like $10 million because this cold business / But I got like 10 million followers that’s gon’ roll with me / Fans that support me because they know my heart.”
Then on “Care for You,” he says, “There’s traumas in my past that make me talk loud and lash at you / Sorry for the times my attitude mixed with the status too.”
Twitter has a lot of mixed feelings about Tory Lanez since he broke his silence. See some of the tweets below.

Women, please don’t tell me that Tory Lanez dropped his album at a bad time... especially if you streamed or bought Ariana Grande’s “Thank You, Next” album right after Mac died.
