Rapper Arrested After Bragging About Defrauding Government In Music Video And Online
An up and coming rapper has learned the hard away about the drawbacks of putting all your business online. Fontrell Antonio Baines, a.k.a Nuke Bizzle, has been arrested for defrauding the government.
According to the New York Post, he applied for over $1.2 million in COVID-19 jobless relief funds by using stolen identities. “Prosecutors allege Baines and his co-conspirators fraudulently obtained at least 92 pre-loaded debit cards under the names of other people, including identity theft victims, prosecutors said.”
To get the cards, Baines has then sent to various addresses he had access to in L.A.
Nuke Bizzle also released a music video where he brags about getting rich off E.D.D. In the clip, it shows him and Fat Wizza getting envelopes of debit cards, flaunting their money, and even thanking Donald Trump. Under the video, it says, “THIS VIDEO WAS CREATED WITH PROPS AND WAS MADE FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES.”
On his latest Instagram post, he seems to reference the scam. He wrote, “They said I’m the Grinch that stole Christmas
#Milliondollarsmile” on a photo of him smiling.
The New York Post states that Baines currently faces three felony counts. If convicted, he will face up to 22 years in federal prison.
