Jason Momoa Reveals He Was Completely In Debt After ‘Game Of Thrones’
Jason Momoa’s portrayal of Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones was arguably one of his best roles. But the actor claims after the character was killed off in 2011 and he stopped working, he was broke.
Per E! News, Mamoa said, “I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones. I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt.”
At the time, he lived in Los Angeles with wife Lisa Bonet and their two young children.
His financial situation didn’t turn around for five years, and things got better when Jason was cast as Aquaman for a brief cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He later continued the role in Justice League and Aquaman.
Momoa lastly adds that although he is successful, he doesn’t take anything for granted. He said, “I feel like I’m still a kid, freaking out.”
