Questlove Hired As The Musical Director For The Upcoming Academy Awards

Questlove has signed on to be the musical director for the 93rd Annual Academy Awards.

He shared the news on Twitter by retweeting a post from film critic Peter Howell. It reads, “Excited to hear that Questlove has been named musical director for the 93rd Academy Awards on April 25. The Roots drummer and co-founder, who is also musical director for The Tonight Show,  will make sure the #Oscars broadcast delights our ears, if nothing else.”

Questlove already has a lot of experience with the position, as he has been music director for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2014. The 93rd Annual Academy Awards will air on April 25 on ABC.
