Khloe Kardashian Addresses Leaked Bikini Photo On Instagram
Khloe Kardashian is speaking out after an unauthorized photo of her surfaced over the weekend, causing many on social media to criticize and bully her appearance.
In a series of posts, Kardashian states her claim that her body isn’t photoshopped. The first thing we see is a video of Khloe topless and jumping around. The second video is of her flashing her stomach from a live recording, and turning around. In the following image, she shares a screenshot from her Instagram Live, showing comments from a fan saying, “This is a response to the haters lol” and her younger sister Kendall Jenner saying “YESSSS.”
Kardashian goes on to explain her reasoning for showing proof of her body being real in the following slides:
Hey guys, this is me and my body unretouched and unfiltered. The photo that was posted this week is beautiful. But as someone who struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working so hard to getting to this point – and then shares it to the world – you have every right to ask for it to not be shared – regardless of who you are. In truth, the pressure, constant ridicule and judgment my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear. “Khloé is the fat sister.” “Khloé is the ugly sister.” “Her dad must not be her real dad because she looks so different.” “The only way she could have lost weight must have been from surgery.” Should I go on?
In the next slide, Khloe goes on to say that although she comes from privilege and signed up to be on a reality show, she just wants to be acknowledged as a human being. She points out that photos of her are constantly “micro-analyzed and made fun of to the smallest detail.” However, she tries to turn that criticism into motivation to get in the best shape of her life while helping others with similar struggles.
Khloe says there is nothing wrong with wanting to throw on a filter and edits on a photo, the same way she would put on makeup or get her hair done in order to present herself “to the world the way I want to be seen and it’s exactly what I will continue to do unapologetically.”
