Post Malone’s New Diamond Vampire Fangs Cost Him $1.6 Million
Post Malone’s got that million-dollar smile! No, really! The rapper’s gone full-on vampire with a pair of diamond fangs that cost him over a million dollars.
The dozen carats-worth of diamonds in his smile cost him $1.6 million to be exact. Dr. Thomas Connelly unveiled his glistening masterpiece on his Instagram yesterday (June 14) of Posty’s new grill — and of course, he’s smoking a cigarette in the photo.
Connelly’s Instagram bio calls himself “The Father of Diamond Dentistry.” “This is the first time I’ve ever done something of this magnitude,” Connelly told E! News. “I’ve done little diamonds here and there that have been inlaid inside a veneer, but this is the entire tooth.”
These diamond encrusted teeth are not just fashionable, they’re also functional. “These are meant to stay in and they function,” the dentist assured. “They’re not going anywhere.”
As if having diamonds in his teeth weren’t enough, Connelly noted that these rocks are not your average diamonds. “These are D flawless diamonds and they hit everywhere in the room. It sparkles like you’ve never seen.”
“It took us a long time to figure out how to engineer it so that it not only looked good when the light hit it, but that it functioned,” Connellly said of the veneer innovation. “A lot of trial and error, but we figured it out and here you go…We’ve got a lineup of people that have now inquired. We’re talking dozens.”
Any Post Malone fan knows he’s no stranger to rocking grills, but his new diamond fangs apparently already started a new trend. “It’s him. It is Post Malone. It is exactly who he is,” Connelly said of his work for the rapper. “I think the canines being a little fangy is right up his alley.”
