Tina Knowles-Lawson Defends Beyoncé Over Tiffany Diamond Criticism
Beyoncé received some hate for wearing the iconic Tiffany Diamond in her newest photoshoot for the brand with Jay-Z which many say have roots back to South African colonial days.

Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson immediately went to go defend her daughter on the Grio’s Instagram page calling out critics who don’t know how their diamonds they own are sourced as well.
“How many of you socially conscious activist own diamonds ? I thought so ! Well guess what did you go to try to check to see where the diamond came from? Probably not !,” Tina responded.
She added some tips to the haters: “So when you guys get engaged you won’t have a diamond you gonna put on a sterling silver band And you better check out where it came from and the origin of where came from and why you add it check out the calls for the Leather that you weird because they made it came from another country to to ban and not buy diamonds right because your righteous !!”
Beyoncé is the fourth woman to wear the 128.54 carat Tiffany Diamond. The three other precessors of the jewel were Mary Whitehouse, wife of American diplomat Edwin Sheldon Whitehouse, Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn, and Grammy-winning singer Lady Gaga per CNN.
Some members of the Beyhive defended Beyoncé claiming there was no pushback when Lady Gaga wore the same diamond back in 2019 to the Oscars.
