Chloe Bailey Announces Release Date For Debut Solo Single ‘Have Mercy’
Chloe Bailey is about to make her solo single debut with “Have Mercy,” her first single without her younger sister Halle Bailey.
Chloe says that in addition to “Have Mercy” she has a project coming out soon after that is “very different from what me and my sister do together,” she said per Billboard.
According to the R&B singer, she started working on the project back in 2019 before the pandemic hit and noted that her creative process was a little scary in the beginning without her sister. As her singing partner, she was used to coming to her little sister for creative advice. “Having her sign of approval meant so much to me. Now I have to be my own voice and be proud and confident in what I bring to the table.”
Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records will be producing the project which the singer says is “90% done.”
She asserts with this project, “I’m creating my own lane, as well as paying homage to the ones who have inspired me. It has been fun finding my voice.”
