Kanye West Updates ‘Donda’ and Removes Chris Brown’s Vocals
Kanye West made some unexpected changes to his last release Donda, and that is not sitting well with Chris Brown.
On Tuesday (Sept. 28), an updated version of the Donda album became available to listen to with some slight changes but fans couldn’t help but notice that R&B crooner Chris Brown was missing from “New Again.” The “No Guidance” singer is now replaced by the Sunday Service Choir, singing the chorus, “Thank You, thank you, thank you for your mercy/Make me new again, make me new again” per XXL.
This is not the first shady thing Ye has down to CBreezy with this album since he previously knocked out the singer’s verse entirely and only left him on the chorus, and now he doesn’t even have that.
Back in August when the album dropped, Brown noticed that his verse was cut off and went to his Instagram Story and said “Kanye a whole h–,” and added in a second post, “Nah he tweakin’” both posts which Brown later deleted before the 24hr auto-delete.
A week later, the “Go Crazy” singer dropped his vocals that were missing on Instagram to give his fans a taste of what they were missing on the album.
The R&B singer has yet to talk to respond to Ye about this.
A fan-led Twitter account announced some of the changes from the “new” Donda like Kid Cudi being replaced with Ye for the hook on “Moon” featuring Don Toliver, an alternate version of “Jail 2” which now includes a verse from the DaBaby instead of Hov and reduced vocals by Ye on the hook and additionally beefing up the base on “Junya” as everything else remains the same.
There is now an updated version of Donda on all streaming platforms.

We’re not sure if there will be other edits coming to Donda but it will be interesting to see what is next for Kanye. As we previously reported, a documentary is expected to hit Netflix on the rap icon sometime next year.
