VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA - APRIL 28: Chris Brown performs onstage at SOMETHING IN THE WATER - Day 3 on April 28, 2019 in Virginia Beach City.
Chris Brown is being named in a $20 million lawsuit for allegedly raping a woman on Diddy’s yacht back in 2020.
According to the suit, obtained by TMZ, “the woman claims Chris grabbed the phone of a friend she was FaceTiming and urged her to come to Diddy’s home ASAP on Miami’s Star Island.” The incident occurred on Dec. 30, 2020, where the woman claims Chris approached her and offered her a drink. After her second drink with Chris, the woman claims she began to feel “a sudden, unexplained change in consciousness.”
The suit claims the woman felt, “disoriented, physically unstable, and started to fall in and out of sleep” and that’s when she says Chris led her into a bedroom while she was “drugged” and “half-asleep.”The docs claim per the gossip site that “the woman claims Chris closed the bedroom door, barring her attempt to leave, removed her bikini bottoms and started kissing her. She says she mumbled for Chris to stop, but he persisted and raped her.”
She’s suing Brown for $20 million in damages claiming that the alleged rape is causing her severe emotional distress, the outlet reports.
The woman’s attorneys Ariel Mitchell and George Vrabeck, told the outlet that their client did not report the alleged rape when it occurred because she was a medical student and felt embarrassed by the whole ordeal. Mitchell and Vrabeck also say they’re “committed to victims being heard and would urge anyone with information to contact them.” Neither Chris nor his team has spoken publicly about the lawsuit.
