Netflix Directors Deny Kanye West’s Final Edit Request For ‘Jeen-Yuhs’
Looks like Kanye is out of luck when it comes to getting the final edit for his Netflix documentary Jeen-Yuhs.
On Jan. 21, Ye posted what looks to be the possible cover art for his Netflix documentary with a caption demanding the streaming service to let him have the final say on the film.
“I’m going to say this kindly for the last time. I must get final edit and approval on this doc before it releases on Netflix. Open the edit room immediately so I can be in charge of my own image. Thank you in advance 😊”

However, according to a report per Rolling Stone, the directors Coodie and Chike are denying West of the final edit for several reasons but most importantly because the film is already done.
“Me and Chike have a company called Creative Control,” Coodie said, “because you don’t want to lose your creative control.”
He asked if Ye had a chance to watch the film and the rapper responded slyly, “I asked him, ‘Did he watch the film?’ And he said, ‘I have a process,’” Coodie said with a laugh. “I said, ‘That’s great that you got your process.’ And we just talked as brothers from that point.”
Coodie added that he saw Ye’s Instagram post as a “blessing” because it will bring extra attention to the three-part documentary set to hit Netflix on February 16.
As for who’s getting the last edit, Coodie said, “God has the final cut.”
