Mary J. Blige: Why She Hasn’t Had Children

Mary J. Blige, often referred to as the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, sat down with E! Daily Pop and shared why she decided to not have children.
The 51-year-old said that she “doesn’t want to go through” the stress of having children and likes her current lifestyle. “I like being able to get up and go and doing what I have to do.”
However, the “Family Affair” singer said she is surrounded by little ones which is just fine for her.
“I have nieces and nephews forever and I’m always watching how people are scrambling for babysitters. I don’t want to go through that,” she said, adding that she is not changing her mind on having children. “I don’t think it’s gonna happen.”
