Metro Boomin’s Mother Killed By Husband In Murder-Suicide: Report
Metro Boomin’s mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne, has been reportedly killed by her husband
(not Metro’s biological father) in a murder-suicide. Wayne’s body was found outside of the Atlanta area and her son was notified over the weekend, TMZ reports.
Metro is known as a go-to producer for several high-profile rap artists such as Drake, Future, Young Thug, and more.
Reportedly the incident occurred on Friday (June 3) when the husband killed her and then himself. The identity of the spouse has not been made public.
Metro’s rep confirms Leslie died over the weekend according to the outlet. The rep added that Metro and his family request privacy during this difficult time.
Leslie raised Metro and his three siblings in St. Louis where she was the first to discover his musical talent. She encouraged him to pursue a career in rap and would drive him from St. Louis to Atlanta to work with artists to get his career started. The outlet reports that she and Metro were very close.
