Quavo Addresses Elevator Fight with Saweetie
Quavo and Saweetie broke up in March 2021 shortly before their split details about their relationship began to play out on social media. One moment in particular is addressed in Quavo’s latest interview with GQ regarding the video shared online of the Migos rapper dragging the “Tap In” rapper in an elevator. In the clip, Saweetie is seen throwing an object at Quavo’s head and misses right before he drags her. The two struggle over a suitcase and Saweetie falls to the floor as Quavo stands nearby.
“If I can ever speak on it, I never once in a million years want to do any harm to any woman, period,” he told the outlet.
Later in the conversation, he brings their relationship back up unprompted, “I don’t like what people think,” he says. “When they saw the elevator thing, they thought it was abusive, something crazy.”
As for dating at the current moment, the head Huncho is taking a break.
“I want to establish [myself] as a human being before I step into any more relationships or anything that can steer me off,” he says.
However, for women who are interested in Quavo in the future, his mom offered some advice.
“I try to tell the girls [he dates], ‘Y’all, just leave him alone if you want him to like you! Don’t have sex with him! Because if you do, he’s just going to go home.’”
She adds: “I try to tell them that, but they won’t listen.”
