Latto Calls Out Misogyny On New Single ‘P—-‘
Latto dropped her newest single “P—-” today (July 15).
The news of Latto’s new single wasn’t taken too well on Twitter as she used Roe v. Wade footage from recent protests. The overturning of the ruling is the theme of the song, and the Georgia native was accused of using the political movement for clout. Latto raps on the track, “How you ain’t got a p—-, but got opinions on p—- / That’s p—- / My ovaries ain’t for you to bully.”
The rapper clapped back Y’all complain about female rap lacking substance but then say I’m “capitalizing” when I speak on shit 🧐🧐🤨🤨🤨 help me understand???
“P—-” samples Betty Wright’s 1968 “Girls Can’t Do What The Guys Do” which was famously sampled in Beyoncé’s 2006 hit “Upgrade U” featuring Jay-Z.
