Drake Seemingly Confirms Rumors Of Swedish Police Encounter
Last week, Drake’s team denied that the Honestly, Nevermind rapper was arrested in a Swedish night club along with his security personnel. However, the Canadian rapper’s latest post has fans confused about what actually went down overseas.
Drizzy’s Instagram post showed a host of photos from his vacation to Sweden and mixed in with the slideshow was a photo of what appeared to be a printout of Swedish detainee rights titled “Information for Those Suspected of a Crime and Subsequently Detained.” The Swedish detainee rights are similar to America’s Miranda Rights: namely, they say that you have a right to legal counsel and that you have the right to know what you are being detained for. The piece of paper also listed the next steps for detainees including a six-hour maximum interrogation process and proceedings for a court trial should the person be remanded into custody.
The rumor was that Drake was arrested on marijuana-related charges while partying at a Swedish club last week and this “update” seems as if he has since been released in connection to the rumors. Or, perhaps, the rapper is simply trolling.
