LONDON, ENGLAND - JULY 14: Beyonce Knowles-Carter attends the European Premiere of Disney's "The Lion King" at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on July 14, 2019 in London, England.

It’s only a couple hours until Beyoncé’s Renaissance album will officially be out and right before the highly anticipated release, the megastar has crafted a thoughtful message to fans about the upcoming project.

“This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic,” Beyoncé wrote on her website. “A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative.”

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving,” she expressed. “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”

The 28-time Grammy winner then went on to pay tribute to those who helped her complete the album and for the musicians that paved a way for her artistry.

“I want to give a special thank you to Rumi, Sir, and Blue for allowing me the space, creativity, and inspiration. And a special thanks to my beautiful husband and muse, who held me down during those late nights in the studio. A big thank you to my uncle Johnny. He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album. Thank you to all of the pioneers who originate culture, to all of the fallen angels whose contributions have gone unrecognized for far too long. This is a celebration for you. Thank you to my Parkwood crew, my slab, Dream, and all of the talented producers involved. Mama, I luhhhh you. To my father, my O.G., my first teacher: You inspire me in every move that I make. I love you.”

Lastly, the icon gave a special shoutout to the Beyhive: “To all of my fans: I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are. Love y’all deep, B.”

This statement follows the leak of Renaissance on Wednesday (July 27), two days before its official release day Friday (July 29).

Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ Album Leaks Two Days Early

Less than 48 hours until Beyoncé’s Renaissance was set to arrive, several tracks from the album were leaked onto social media.

Twitter was filled with leaked snippets of the album with songs sharing the same titles from the tracklist that the megastar shared last week. Some posts by fans showed CD copies of the album for sale in Europe.

This comes as surprise to fans since Beyoncé is very tight-lipped about upcoming projects. She was able to pull off the surprise digital drop of her 2013 self-titled album which was never leaked prematurely. However, back in 2011, Beyoncé’s 4 was leaked before the initial release date, which prompted a response from the icon.

“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans,” the singer wrote in a statement to MTV News back in 2011. “When I record music, I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”

Beyoncé nor her team has publicly addressed the leak. Take a look at fans’ reactions below:
