Megan Thee Stallion’s Former Friend Kelsey Harris Receives Immunity In Tory Lanez Trial
On Wednesday (Dec. 14), Megan Thee Stallion’s former friend Kelsey Harris testified in Tory Lanez’s trial for allegedly shooting Megan on July 12, 2020. Harris was the other woman in the vehicle with Lanez and Megan during the 2020 incident.
When Harris took the stand, she immediately asked for immunity in the case and received it for her testimony, XXL reports. Harris reportedly attempted to invoke her Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination when asked if Lanez threatened to kill her which she has stated previously, the outlet reports.
Law and Crime senior reporter Meghann Cuniff was in court Wednesday (Dec. 14) when she Trial is on the 90-minute break, following a tense moment with Kelsey Harris on the stand. Harris' lawyer told Judge Herriford this morning that Harris planned to invoke her 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination, but prosecutors granted her immunity, so she's testifying.
Harris reportedly refused to answer, although she would not be charged with any crime. Harris reportedly responded, “It’s just, I don’t know” when asked why she refused to answer. She also denied shooting Megan but did not confirm whether she saw the “Say It” rapper with a firearm Los Angeles Times reporter James Queally “Our interview was not 100% truthful,” Harris said of her prior interview though she hasn’t said what specifically is inaccurate. She has flat out denied shooting at Megan.
She also denied being offered $1 million by Lanez to keep quiet about the shooting, as Megan testified. Harris also said she wasn’t truthful in her initial interview with law enforcement.

Harris is saying she’s struggling with postpartum depression and a recent death in the family and her “mind isn’t here right now.” She also denied Lanez offered her hush money (which Megan alleged he did to the tune of $1 million yesterday.)

This follows Megan’s testimony where she took the stand Tuesday (Dec. 13) and recalled the July 2020 night.
