Cardi B Claps Back at Twitter User Over Recession Comment
Cardi B had to put a Twitter user in their place after they decided to come for the rapper over a recent tweet. The Bronx native wrote on Tuesday (Dec. 20) , “We going through a recession…..Merry Christmas [Christmas tree emoji]” Apparently, that ruffled some feathers since the “WAP” rapper is worth several million dollars according to several sites.

A Twitter user wrote back, “Says the rapper worth 40 million.”
“I’m worth more then that and guess what?” Cardi fired back. “If I don’t save, work and budget I could lose it too! What makes you think that no matter how much money you got you can’t lose it all if you don’t manage your money correctly? I too have bills, responsibilities, and people I have to help.”
This is not the first time Cardi has spoken about the current financial crisis in the United States. In a video reposted from Instagram to Twitter back in September, Cardi spoke about inflation and how it has been affecting everyone.
“You know one thing that people was coming at me every single time that we saying that something bad in the economy is happening? And people be like, ‘Well you was the one that told people to vote for Joe Biden,'” she No seriously…I want to know how people are surviving… https://t.co/sodp7YdJTY
“But this the thing, right? After the pandemic, I knew that this s— was gonna happen. I knew we was gonna have a financial crisis. And the thing about it is, that this is not only in America.”
Cardi might be onto something. According to economic experts from Forbes, CNBC, and the Wall Street Journal, the United States can be heading towards a mild recession next year.
