Lil Wayne Sued By Former Personal Chef
Lil Wayne’s former personal chef is suing the rapper due to wrongful termination. According to documents obtained by TMZ on Tuesday (December 20), “Morghan Medlock is accusing the Young Money emcee of wrongful termination and retaliation, among other things. Medlock says the incident occurred when she accompanied Wayne on a Memorial Day trip to Las Vegas. During the trip, she had to leave when she was notified that her 10-year-old had sustained a head injury that left him hospitalized.”
According to the lawsuit, Medlock was set to charter Wayne’s private jet and return to Los Angeles but the rapper allegedly was delaying the flight due to him smoking. The chef decided to hop on another flight to tend to her child and says she was later told she had been formally let go. Before she got the formal message, she returned to work after taking care of her child but was received the “cold shoulder” and was asked if she was quitting which she denied. Later, Weezy formally let the personal chef go. Medlock worked for the rapper for two years.
Medlock says “her termination violates a California law that states it’s illegal to fire someone because they missed work to care for their sick or injured child.” In return, she is seeking at least $500,000.
Lil Wayne has not made a public comment on the incident.
