Kanye Could Be Barred Entry Into Australia For Antisemitic Comments: Report
Kanye West might be barred from entering Austrailia due to his previous antisemitic comments, according to gossip site TMZ. The rapper is reportedly planning to visit his wife’s Bianca Censori’s friends in family in Austrailia next week. Censori and West reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony earlier this month, but a marriage certificate has yet to surface.
Australia’s Education Minister, Jason Clare, says he is unsure if Ye has applied for a visa. But the country is known to deny potential visitors due to antisemitic remarks.
“People like that who’ve applied for visas to get into Australia in the past have been rejected,” Clare said in an interview with Nine News. “I expect that if he does apply he would have to go through the same process and answer the same questions that they did.”
Ye’s racist views have landed him in hot water with major corporations over the past few months with many ending partnerships with the rapper. Last month, Ye’s interview with Alex Jones went viral when he praised Hitler. He also was suspended on Twitter for posting a photo of a swastika merged with the Star of David.
Kanye was previously married to Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children; North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 3. As we previously reported, Kardashian and West’s divorce was finalized back in November.
