Chris Brown has apologized to Robert Glasper, and shared his apology on social media. The "No Guidance" singer slid in the Grammy winner's DMs which he later posted on his Instagram Story. "Congratulations my brother… I would like to apologize if you took offense to my reaction at the Grammys. You were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean," he wrote.

He continued: "After doing my research I actually think you’re amazing… the organization isn’t doing us Blacks our due diligence. You and I should never be in the same category… two totally different vibes and genres. So from one Black man to another, congratulations. Hope you are able to feed your family for life. God bless my G."

Both Brown and Glasper were nominated for their albums Breezy and Black Radio III respectively for Best R&B Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. When Brown found out that Glasper was taking home the award he went to social media to air out his frustrations while throwing shade to Glasper in the same breath.

"Y’all playing. Who da f--- is this?" with a series of crying-laughing emojis. The Breezy singer didn't stop and continued to taunt the winner. "Who the f--- is Robert Glasper," he wrote. "I’ma keep kicking y’all a– respectfully."

He concluded, "I gotta get my skills up…Ima start playing the harmonica." The second post was a Photoshopped image of Brown playing the harmonica, quipping, "New Level Unlocked! Harmonica Breezy."

Before Brown's social media tirade, Glasper posted a photo to Instagram on Jan. 30 reading "Who The F--- Is Robert Glasper." In the caption he wrote, "It’s been brought to my attention that y’all have questions about Who TF is Robert Glasper! If y’all have questions, I have answers. Check out my stories to play along!”

Also nominated in the category were Mary J. Blige's Good Morning Gorgeous, Lucky Daye's Candy Drip, and PJ Morton's Watch The Sun.

The win for Black Radio III was Glasper's fifth.

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, Feb. 5 in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Stadium. Leading in nominations is Beyoncé with nine, and Kendrick Lamar follows with eight. Mary J. Blige, Future, DJ Khaled and the producer and songwriter The-Dream, each have six Grammy nominations.
